We have been slowly reading and discussing our way through
Douglas Wilson’s book What I Learned in Narnia. So far we have covered true and false authority and nobility. It
is a well written book and has a lot of personal application for all members of
the family!
We have been keeping journals as we go, although sometimes
there is just too much to write about, as well as a few specific paragraphs for
the blog. It’s a good thing we took lots of pictures to prompt our memories and keep it all straight.
Tim has gotten through a good chunk of an online sounds
engineering course – downloading pages at the library to read later. Joel has
nearly completed his maths and some drawing and Laura some maths, science
reading and drawing. The boys usually ask about half way through their morning for some physics time (otherwise known as basketball) and are improving their technique.
We have really been lacking on the music front though. It was great to be able to use cousin's piano in Vancouver but there hasn't been an easy way to access instruments in Charlottesville. I am hoping that might be better in Missouri.
