Fun and Fellowship in Charletson

It has been such a blessing to have these few days of fellowship, relaxation and encouragement on the banks of the Wando River with our good friends. Over the years these wonderful people have impacted our family and faith in so many ways, and yet they continue to give and encourage. We are very grateful.

Walking and chatting...

An afternoon fishing on the river...

that was one happy fisherman :-)

and back home again...

We enjoyed seeing and eating with and playing with the Youngs next door too. The kids really enjoyed each others company and so did the adults :-)

Sunday morning breakfast Rich style was wonderful. Along with some other friends it was such a lovely start to the day. (Sorry about the weird soft focus - the camera flipped to a different setting - romantic mood setting in the Young kitchen!! )

After the yummiest Sunday morning breakfast the kids and guys played a combination of American football and rugby for the next few hours! A lot of fun.

 Planning the plays...

We then joined the older Young kids going to help out at a food bank for a few hours with some other GFI families and this very cool organization I Heart Hungry Kids. We packed up 200 weekend packs for kids who go home to empty pantries for the weekend after getting food at school during the week.

It was a lovely relaxing day and then to finish off a wonderful weekend we prepared and ate a Fish and Chip Feast in honour of Gary's favourite NZ food! Everything was made from scratch and tasted wonderful.

Fish and crumbed shrimp from the River and homemade fries too. It was a divine feast.

Guests  went first :-)

Psalm 133:1  How good and pleasant it is when God's people live together in unity!
It was a weekend of sweet fellowship and a lot of laughs in the process.
