Cousin Jodi was up there with her family and we arrived in
time to celebrate Micah’s 4th birthday. We had a look around the
village shopping area and enjoyed catching up and goofing with the kids on the
very cool play area.
It is a beautiful area with literally hundreds of accommodation
resorts along the valley all joined by walking and biking trails. Waking up
this morning we had a truly magnificent Jodi breakfast followed by a trip to
the local pool. It was a smaller pool
but had a couple of great things I’d love to see at the Rolleston Pool. A swing
rope hung from the steel girders along the roof and a basketball hoop at the
side of the pool that we had a lot of fun with. Of course it was just us and
all the preschoolers as everyone else was at work or school J Maedow Park Pool, Whistler
After lunch Jodi and Some headed back to Vancouver and we
headed off to find some walking trails. We went through some gorgeous autumn
forest, round a couple of lakes and practiced our Bear Smart skills as per the
many signs and helpful pamphlet we picked up at the resort front desk.
Roll on tomorrow...

Gotta love the "Yield to" sign. Something we definitely don't see in New Zealand
