Let it Snow!

One thing we really miss in Canterbury is the cold winters with fun in the snow. When you are prepared for it the snow is beautiful and fun - a bit of a hassle sometimes but Columbia is pretty well set up for it. The Snow ploughs kick into gear and everyone has snow gear to play in. We were glad to get some snow fun this week.

First some pics driving home from St Louis over the Mississippi. A lot of cars were partially covered in snow  and as they drive chunks fly off. The highway was really good though by the afternoon after the snowfall.

The house at the corner of our street coming home looked beautiful in the dark with snow glistening.

The next morning the church car park was a little slick with ice but the roads were well cleared and although we had a little trouble getting up the Currey's driveway it was more fun than hassle. The boys built a snowman and then used it for target practice. Maggie and Laura sledded and the adults were too busy talking to take pictures :-)

and out shovelling the drive way...

The snow is so beautiful.
